Delco YMCA to host ‘lifestyle changing’ education program

Just in time for New Year’s resolutions, the Community YMCA of Eastern Delaware County is hosting its next “Lifestyle Changing Pathway Program” starting in early January. The public is invited to attend and “make 2026 your year of wellness.”

The six-week course, led by clinical exercise physiologist and independent specialist Annie Linton, focuses on how therapeutic lifestyle interventions can help treat chronic conditions such as cardiovascular diseasetype 2 diabetes, and obesity.

The course centers on a six-pillar approach to wellness: a whole-food, plant-predominant eating pattern; physical activity; restorative sleep; stress management; avoidance of risky substances; and positive social connections. The class meets every Tuesday from Jan. 6 to Feb. 10 at 6-7 p.m., and it costs $35 for YMCA members and $75 for nonmembers.
