Long-time employee in Upper Darby retires after 35 years of service
Having spent over three decades with the township, the staff in Upper Darby recently said goodbye to a dedicated and long-time employee. The “well-earned retirement” of Maxine DiMambro was announced on Dec. 5, 2025, per the Upper Darby Police Department Facebook post.
“Maxine has dedicated 35 years of exceptional service to Upper Darby Township, with most of that time spent right here at Police Headquarters,” stated the post. “Her commitment, reliability, and kindness have made a lasting impact on all of us.”
Staff at the police department said that they would miss her familiar face.
“While we will truly miss her, we wish Maxine nothing but the very best as she begins this next chapter of her life,” said the post on social media. “Thank you for everything, Maxine, enjoy your retirement!”
The Upper Darby Police Department was grateful for her years of service. DiMambro is a graduate of Upper Darby High School, Class of 1984.
