Upper Darby library to host Property Tax Rebate Clinic for seniors

Local seniors who want to apply for a property tax rebate — and meet state lawmakers who represent them — can accomplish both at an upcoming Property Tax Rebate Clinic.

Slated for March 25 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Upper Darby Township Municipal Library, the event is open to anyone age 65 and older who live in Pennsylvania’s 164th legislative district. That district includes Lansdowne, East Lansdowne, Millbourne and part of Upper Darby Township.

Rep. Gina Curry, a Democrat who represents the 164th district, and state Sen. Tim Kearney, a Democrat who represents parts of Delaware and Chester counties, will both be in attendance. The state lawmakers and their staffers will be available to help constituents apply for Pennsylvania’s property tax rebate, which provides certain older adults and people with disabilities with a rebate of up to $1,000. Curry and Kearney will also “assist with any state government-related matters.”
