DCIU to host March job fair for education career hopefuls
As layoffs continue to trend high at the start of 2026, those who find themselves thrust into a competitive job market may want to consider a career in education.
To that end, the Delaware County Intermediate Unit is partnering with all 15 public school districts in the county to host the Delaware County Education Career Fair on March 25.
Each school district is “looking to fill a variety of rewarding positions,” DCIU said, including roles for general education teachers, paraeducators, office staff, special education teachers, custodial staff and bus drivers/monitors.
Everyone from seasoned educators to recent graduates are welcome to attend the fair, which will feature representatives from:
· Chester Upland School District
· Delaware County Intermediate Unit (DCIU)
· Garnet Valley School District
· Marple Newtown School District
· Radnor Township School District
· Rose Tree Media School District
· School District of Haverford Township
· Southeast Delco School District
· Wallingford-Swarthmore School District
· William Penn School District
· Substitute teacher placement services ESS and STS
Those interested in support-staff positions should visit the DCIU (200 Yale Ave. in Morton) between 3:30 and 4:30 p.m.; the time slot for professional/certified staff is 5 to 7 p.m.
