Man shot late Friday in Lansdowne
A man was found with multiple gunshot wounds late Friday in Lansdowne.
The victim was transported to an area hospital.
Later Saturday, Police Chief Ken Rutherford posted this information on social media:
“On December 12, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m., Lansdowne Borough Police responded to a report of a shooting in the area of S. Wycombe Avenue.
“A preliminary investigation indicates there was an exchange of gunfire between two rival groups. One adult male was struck and transported to a local hospital, where he is listed in critical but stable condition.
“Multiple individuals have been interviewed, and the investigation remains active and ongoing. At this time, there is no direct ongoing threat to the community.

Delaware County police and fire radio traffic regarding the incident:
Borough police were alerted that four shots were reportedly heard at Nyack and Wycombe avenues about 10:45 p.m.
Officers were told that a 911 caller said someone shot at their house and someone inside returned fire. Units converged on the scene.
A minute later, an officer found someone on the ground near the intersection. He asked that medical personnel “step it up” because the victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.
Officers from nearby jurisdictions converged on the area to assist. Police began looking for a group of males.
A firearm was recovered at 10:49 p.m. Five people were detained.
The assistance of county detectives was sought, and a crime scene was established on Wycombe.
