Walker it back: Sixers reportedly will sign forward to a new contract

It appears to have been a pretty busy Monday after the All-Star break for the Sixers.

Per a report from ESPN’s Sham Charania, the team is expected to sign Jabari Walker to a two-year deal.

Walker had maxed out the amount of games he was allowed to play with the team on his two-way contract.

The 6-8 forward is averaging 3.7 points and 3.1 rebounds this season, having appeared in 45 games at 12.1 minutes a game.

Earlier in the day, reports said the team is expecting to sign guard Cam Payne to a contract through the rest of the season. Payne last played for the Sixers in the 2023-24 season, when he averaged 9.3 points over his 31 games played with the team.
