Shooting Stars Holiday Spectacular to take the stage at Bonner this weekend
If you are struggling to get into that holiday spirit, there is nothing like the sounds of the season to get you into the mood for Christmas. And, while this may not be its usual season for stardom, the Upper Darby Summer Stage still works in winters, too. In fact, its Shooting Stars are about to take the stage with its Holiday Spectacular.
The Shooting Stars Holiday Spectacular is slated to take place at the Monsignor Bonner Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School’s stage, located at 403 N. Landowne Ave., in Drexel Hill. Performances are scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 20 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 21 at 1 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Students from 18 various local high schools are included in the showcase, which will include 90 minutes of “Broadway-style numbers set against a holiday wonderland,” said a release from the organization.
“Mark your calendars and secure your seats to be part of this perennial fan favorite,” said the site.
Free parking is available, and there is wheelchair access to the facility. Doors will open one hour prior to the start of each show. Guests are asked to please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the show to be sure they are seated in a timely manner.
The Shooting Stars are presented by the Upper Darby Arts & Education Foundation.
“This all-star group represents Upper Darby Summer Stage as year-round community ambassadors, sharing their talents and inspiring audiences across the region through the joy of music and movement,” said the site.
