Take a ‘Roman Holiday’ with Upper Darby Library’s Valentine Movie Magic

Audrey Hepburn won the 1954 Best Actress Oscar award for playing a European princess breaking off an official goodwill tour. Gregory Peck plays an American newspaper writer who offers to be her tour guide as the two visit the Eternal City incognito.

The film is the 1953 hit “Roman Holiday,” and if you’re in the mood for a touch of classic, the Upper Darby Township Library, Sellers Memorial Branch, has your back. It will be airing the 119-minute flick by Paramount Pictures on Feb. 13.

Registration is required, but there is no cost. It can be done online here. Airtime will begin at 1 p.m. in the second-floor programming room above the Children’s Library. There is no elevator available for the space.

Guests are asked to wait in the Adult Library until 12:45 p.m. until the room is open for the movie.

The Sellers Memorial Branch is located at 76 S. State Road, in Upper Darby. For more information, call 610-789-4440. The program is for adults only.
